Gracie Lady

Gracie is a 22-year-old chestnut Thoroughbred, born and raised in Yucaipa, California. She never left the ranch where she was born—until 2021, when I took over her care after her previous owner fell ill.

When we found her, Gracie was severely underweight, dehydrated, anxious, and suffering from multiple health issues, including a persistent slobbering problem, abscesses, and fetlock pain. She was scared, untouchable, and always hungry—truly a hard keeper.

Over time, with love and patience, she began to trust again. Today, Gracie is a completely different horse: playful, affectionate, and full of life. Since moving to Arizona, she’s grown attached and follows me like a puppy.

Recently, she had dental surgery to remove a broken tooth and bone fragments—an expensive but necessary procedure placed on credit. She still needs a full blood panel and ongoing care, especially for her feet and sensitive skin.

Gracie is thriving, but we need to raise $2,500 to cover her immediate medical needs and ensure her continued recovery.
